The Project:

For the senior project at Louisiana State University we have the opportunity to choose what we would like to design, where we want to design it, how to go about it, what the schedule is, and every detail that might go into an interior design project.

Having worked in the Healthcare industry for over five years, I knew I wasted to design some sort of facility where I could use this knowledge and create a project that would require me to design from a different perspective.

While working at Children’s Hospital I met two boys who had a disease called Cystic Fibrosis. I would play cribbage every night after I got off work with a young boy named Andrew. He passed away when he was 16, but he had an impact on many lives. His life inspired me to do a Cystic Fibrosis Center in Baton Rouge for my senior capstone project.

This building will be multipurpose; housing the Baton Rouge Cystic Fibrosis Foundation with an education center, a children’s Pulmonary clinic, and a pharmacy.
